New Zealand’s Perreaux were winning accolades from all over the world by 1980s for their range of MOSFET power amplifiers. At the same time they shook things up further by introducing a high performance low noise HiFi pre-amplifier – the SP1000.

It has inputs for a turntable (moving magnet or moving coil cartridge), two line level (aux) devices, and two record in/out loops. The tone controls have a defeat switch.
